WIZM #9 Biggest Story Of 2013

That was La Crosse School District Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Joe Ledvina on September 6th.....and it is our ninth biggest story of 2013. The tear down and building of a new northside elementary school. After over 1500 community surveys on school buildings came back, the school board approved the project and awarded the $14 million bid to Fowler and Hammer. An excited Superintendent, Randy Nelson...overseeing his first ever new school being built...told us that timing is of the essence now.

Over 80 names came in on the school........whittled down now to three.....Northside, Great River and Logan. Fall of 2014 is when our ninth biggest story of 2013 should open.
