Kind Talks Jobs, Unemployment And Johnson

La Crosse's Democrat in Congress thinks Republicans should be willing to

let unemployment benefits last longer. Congressman Ron Kind would prefer not to exchange budget cuts for an extension in jobless benefits.  But Kind says he'll look for spending cuts, if that's what it takes to help the unemployed:

Kind says under the current situation, 16-hundred people in Wisconsin will lose their benefits each week unless an extension is approved.  Kind spoke to reporters yesterday during a tour of the La Crosse County Job Center.
