Hearing Set On Stanley Records

A local newspaper should find out Monday whether it can see papers dealing with Bryan Stanley's release...

Stanley has been a free man for over a year, since being released from Mendota Hospital. He was committed there shortly after killing three men at an Onalaska church in 1985. The La Crosse Tribune will make arguments in court today about the public interest in finding out whether it's safe for Stanley to be in the community. Relatives of Stanley's victims are upset that the La Crosse County Sheriff's Department neglected to tell them once Stanley was out of the hospital.
