Onalaska Leaders Say The Time Has Come Ash Borer

The spread of the emerald ash borer in La Crosse County finally reached

Onalaska in December. City leaders put together a plan several years ago to fight the tree-eating beetle.  Now, the time has come to put the plan into action, says Onalaska zoning inspector Katie Meyer:

The options...which include removing city-owned ash trees, or treating them with chemicals...will be discussed at a city hall open house next Tuesday.
