Second Report Filed In Sparta Cop Shooting

A new report into a Sparta shooting involving a police officer has been

penned by the new county DA. Kevin Croninger says he knew former DA Dan Cary had already sent a report about the October shooting into the Department of Criminal Investigations, but since Cary died in office last year, Croninger felt his name should be attached to the final report.

Officer Booker Ferguson gunned down a 21 year old Sparta man after he came at the cop with knives in his front yard last year. This after John Bartholomew had threatened family members as well.

Croninger says details of the report will be made public after it has been cleared by the DCI.
