Mayor; Bakalars Decision a Good Test For New Commission

First development request for La Crosse's new economic development commission basically leads to no deal.  At least for now.  Mayor Tim Kabat still believes there's some way for a developer to renovate the Bakalars building on the southside.  But incentives from the development commission apparently won't be enough.  Still, Kabat likes the way the new development standards process worked

Kabat says having standards is still the best way to treat every development request equally and fairly, utilizing taxpayer dollars in the best way possible.
