Wisconsin is the Worst on Child Index
For the most part, Wisconsin does well by the majority of its children. According to a report released this week by the Annie E Casey Foundation, the state ranks tenth in outcomes measuring child well-being. At least for white children. But, according to the same report, Wisconsin is dead last among all states for African American children. Which may just take a lot more resources to correct, says Bob Jacobson with Wisconsin Council on Children and Families
The report finds that Native American and Asian children also fare poorly in Wisconsin but the state is slightly above average when it comes to the well-being of Latino children.
