NRC Hopes for Restoration of Fix Up Grants

Two months could determine the long term viability of a popular small home repair grant program in La Crosse.  The Paint and Fix Up program is under the city legal department's microscope to determine whether it violates rules for use of tax dollars.  The program provides small grants for small home repairs.  And those have a big impact on a neighborhood, says Neighborhood Revitalization Commission chair, Sara Sullivan

Sullivan is hoping the legal review will allow more money to be spent through the program.  And in time to fulfilll dozens of requests for grants leftover from this spring's application process.
