Mississippi Drops Below Flood Stage At Lax, 1st Time In 2 Weeks

La Crosse's third flood of the year is done, according to the National Weather Service...

The Mississippi fell below flood stage this morning, after being above 12 feet for about two weeks.  The water should drop to 10 feet by Sunday.  High water levels forced a number of changes in Riverfest activities last week, including the moving of Dragon Boat races to the Black River and a modified staging of fireworks in Pettibone Park.
