Kids Report Masks Wisconsin Problems
Wisconsin does pretty well by its children. At least that's the conclusion that can be drawn from the latest Kids Count report from the Annie E Casey Foundation. The report shows Wisconsin ranks 13th in the nation for child well-being when measured by factors like health, poverty and education. Which is good, says Ken Taylor from the group, Wisconsin Council on Children and Families. But hides the fact that the state's minority children generally fare pretty poorly
The Kids Count report finds Iowa ranks third in childhood well being. Minnesota ranks fifth.
