Kabat Likes District Proposals

The La Crosse school district received four offers for the old Roosevelt

school site, with bidders willing to spend $300 thousand for what amounts to a full city block on La Crosse’s North Side. It's down to three companies now....all dealing with rental units for the school. Something City of La Crosse mayor Tim Kabat says he's in favor of.

According to results from a 2012 survey, about half of La Crosse district residents said they would support the idea of new housing and it was a popular option among Northsiders who submitted ideas for the site this spring.
