City Finds Money To Avoid Lax Library Closings Or Service Cuts

Crisis averted...for now.

Once again, the city of La Crosse has found a funding solution to avoid closing any branches of the public library for the coming year.

Library director Kelly Krieg Sigman says city leaders found that the 2015 deficit will be much smaller than predicted.  It also turns out that a projected increase in health insurance costs for city workers is not going to happen.  Krieg Sigman announced those changes at a listening session yesterday in the North Branch library.
