Police Arrest Two in Break-Ins
La Crosse police have nabbed a couple perps for a several car break-ins. Cops say 25 year-old Shane Lancour and 27 year-old Eric Close are responsible for breaking into numerous cars in the city recently and for a burglary at a hobby shop on the city's northside. They're still looking for 33 year-old Jeffrey Michel for being involved with several other car break-ins.
Just Tickets for Lip Ring SnatcherA nineteen year-old college guy in La Crosse has caught a break after roughing up a classmate this week-end. Cops say Micheal Whayland was making moves on a young woman he's just met. Everything seemed to be going okay. Right up until he smacked the girl around, choked her, and, finally, ripped out her lip ring. Just an underage drinking ticket and disorderly conduct for Whayland, though, because the victimized woman opted not to press charges. Some additional justice perhaps in the end, though: Another guy broke Whayland's arm to avenge the woman's injuries. Woman Dealing Cocaine, say La Crosse PoliceLa Crosse police have collected themselves a would-be cocaine dealer. 22 year-old Lisa Lomprey, they say, had cocaine and the willingness to sell to an informant. Price: 17 hundred dollars an ounce. They got Lomprey after the deal carrying the police buy money. Lomprey should be court today in La Crosse. City Brewery Facing Fines from FedsBig fines for a La Crosse company possibly coming from the Feds. OSHA is looking to get over a hundred thousand dollars from City Brewery for 16 serious Medallion Found By West Salem ManIn a tunnel, under the highway... Was that where you would have looked for the Oktoberfest medallion? Paul Hoch of West Salem checked in a tunnel near Hixon Forest today, and found the medal on the fifth day of the hunt. This is only the second year Hoch has tried to find the medallion.
Clues pointing to Losey Boulevard and the Boy Scout headquarters led Hoch to the medallion's hiding place. The reward for finding it is 500 dollars, and tickets to the Festmaster's Ball. |
