Another fugitive from Wisconsin has been caught in Florida...this time, a La Crosse man suspected in a local shooting incident last month.
Almondo Baker was arrested in Lee County, Florida at about 4 o'clock this morning, after allegedly giving police there a false name. Baker is accused of shooting three people in the legs and abdomen at his home on Farnam Street in La Crosse over Labor Day weekend. Bond in Florida has been set at five thousand dollars, and he could be tried there next month on a fraud charge.
