Little new information early today about the shooting deaths of the owner of May's Photo in La Crosse and his teenage son.
Sources say Paul Petras and his son A.J. were shot and killed on Saturday afternoon inside the family's business on Main Street, in what may have started as a robbery. The victims apparently were found hours after the crime. The 400 block of Main Street was shut down to traffic for hours after police arrived.
A murder at a Main Street business is being investigated by La Crosse police and the state Department of Criminal Investigation.
Officers were called to May's Photo in the 400 block of Main around 5 p.m. Saturday and found at least one person dead. It's believed the person was shot, perhaps around 2 in the afternoon. Police are asking anyone who might have seen something suspicious around May's store in the early afternoon to call Crime-Stoppers.

You want more proof of how hot the summer of 2012 has been in La Crosse?
Only one year on record has had more days over 90 degrees than this year in the city. We've seen temps above 90 on 37 days...compared to the 1988 mark of 46 very hot days. The National Weather Service also reports 13 days above 95 degrees, and three days this year when we had at least 100 degrees. All of those figures are well above the average number of days with excessive heat. The weather service says La Crosse's temperatures in July resembled those of a typical summer in Miami.
