You'll soon notice that signs being placed on UW-L campus buildings will let you know that you cannot bring concealed weapons into those buildings. But you may want to pay attenttion to what else those signs say.

Ross has been disturbed for months now about news that a Wisconsin DMV official had discouraged state workers from volunteering information about free IDs available at their locations. He says it's bad enough that some folks can't get to DMV's let alone not have information about getting free ones.

There will be no delay in the Trisha Stratman trial...
Stratman's attorney has filed a letter with the La Crosse County clerk of courts requesting no change in the trial schedule, or in jury selection. On Thursday, a judge denied a motion by attorney Jordan Loeb's to dismiss the homicide charge against the former sheriff's deputy. Loeb's letter says Stratman expects the jury selection to begin November 7th as planned, with a jury chosen in La Crosse County. Stratman is accused of speeding on the way to a police call last year and crashing into another car driven by teenager Brandon Jennings, who died in the collision.
