A three car crash in Tomah Thursday claimed the life of one person.
According to Tomah Police, around 3pm, several car had crashed at the intersection of Superior Ave and Veterans St. Shortly after arrival it was determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, a 29 year old female from the Tomah area, was deceased.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the Tomah Memorial Hospital by the Tomah Area Ambulance with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit was called to assist at the crash scene.

Deer and wood ticks are being seen in higher numbers than last year...increasing the risk of Lyme disease and related illnesses. She recommends looking for ticks when you shower or shampoo after being outdoors...and warming up the clothes dryer, because high heat can kill ticks hiding in clothes. According to statewide studies, the tick population in La Crosse County has gone down in the last decade, but has increased in surrounding counties.
A judge in Jackson County has set murder suspect Michael Harmon's bond at half-a-million dollars.
Harmon was attending his first court hearing today, since being arrested in June for the shooting death of his girlfriend, Angela Nelson. A pre-trial conference in the case is set for August 14th. Judge Thomas Lister ordered Harmon not to have contact with Nelson's family, or with his ex-girlfriend Billie Jo Harwick. After Nelson was shot at her apartment in Black River Falls, Harwick allegedly drove Harmon to Milwaukee, where he hid out for almost two weeks.
