A teenage skateboarder has been killed in an accident on the south side of La Crosse...
The 17-year-old on the skateboard was hit by a pickup truck around 2:30 on Thursday afternoon, in the area of 26th and Farnam Streets. The teen's name has not been released yet.
Another local arrest that deals with synthetic marijuana. This time in Monroe County. Two adults have been arrested after deputies conducted a search warrant Wednesday afternoon in the Village of Kendall at the Wood Pipes Smoke Shop. 34 year old Tammy Wood and 38 year old Brian Wood, both of Kendall, were arrested amid allegations of their possession of synthetic marijuana, a restricted controlled substance.
A number of drug related items were seized, including materials believed to
be synthetic marijuana. Both of these individuals are scheduled to make their
first appearance in court today.
With all the rivers and lakes we have in the area...you'd think there would be someone ice fishing somewhere. Well there are.....you just have to carefully find the good ice areas. That's according to Coulee Region Adventures owner, Anthony Larson.

The mission is to help Afghan farmers become agriculturally self-sufficient and develop their agricultural marketplace. The practices that are being trained are not new concepts to the Afghan farmer, but tweaking existing practices. A group of Wisconsin and Minnesota soliders will take off for Afghanistan next month.....to become farmers...and soldiers.
