Cops Look for Man Accused in Attempted Murder

Written by

A man clings to life today in La Crosse after a beating yesterday at the hands of a jealous ex-boyfriend.   La Crosse police say the 33 year-old was repeatedly bludgeoned in the head by Thomas Beitlich while the victim slept.  Cops say the 31 year-old Beitlich kicked in the door of his ex-girlfriend's place on Ferry street and beat the victim 15 to 20 times in the head with something big and hard, apparently.  Cops say, if the victim survives, he will likely have some significant brain damage.  Cops are looking for Beitlich and think that he may still be in the area.

Four Burglary Suspects Nabbed In Onalaska

Written by

Four people have been arrested in Onalaska for a series of garage and car burglaries...which apparently all happened on one night.

The four young men were released from jail after appearing in court this afternoon. Police investigator Chad Marcon said a surveillance video from one of the victims helped officers identify the suspects.

Money, electronics, and jewelry are among the items stolen during the break-ins reported on September 19th. At least three garages and seven cars were targeted.
